Long-term continuous ammonia electrosynthesis. (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38503346/)
These scientists wanted to find a better way to make ammonia, which is a very important substance used in fertilizers and other things. They found that using a special kind of liquid called a chain-ether-based electrolyte helped them make ammonia for a long time without any problems. This liquid didn't turn into a solid or evaporate easily like other liquids that are usually used. They tested their method in a special machine called a flow electrolyser for 300 hours and it worked really well, making a lot of good quality ammonia. This study shows that the type of liquid they used is very important in making ammonia efficiently and continuously.
