These scientists wanted to understand how plants grow in different environments. They decided to study how plants grow when they are exposed to different amounts of light.

To do this, the scientists set up an experiment where they placed some plants in a room with lots of light, and other plants in a room with very little light. They then watched the plants over several weeks to see how they grew.

After observing the plants, the scientists found that the plants in the room with lots of light grew taller and had more leaves than the plants in the room with very little light. This showed them that plants need light to grow well.

By doing this experiment, the scientists were able to learn more about how plants grow and what they need to be healthy.
