Accelerated photochemical reactions at oil-water interface exploiting melting point depression. (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38359135/)
These scientists found a way to make chemical reactions happen faster using water. They discovered that by mixing certain types of molecules together in water, they could create little groups called aggregates. These aggregates help the molecules react with each other more quickly. The scientists found that the hydrogen atoms in the molecules can form special bonds with the water, which speeds up the reactions even more. This new method makes it easier to mix different types of molecules together in water and make new substances, like medicines, more easily.
