Constructing human neural circuits in living systems by transplantation. (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38181744/)
These scientists wanted to learn more about how the brain forms its connections and why sometimes it doesn't work properly in certain diseases. They knew that scientists have been able to make human brain cells from special cells called stem cells in the lab, and even put these cells into animals to create brain circuits.
So, they decided to talk about different ways to grow human brain cells in animals to study how our brain develops and what happens when it gets sick. They talked about the good things we can learn from this, but also the difficulties and things we still need to figure out.
