These scientists created a new type of COVID-19 vaccine called ARCT-154. They tested it in people to make sure it was safe and worked well. The vaccine needed a lower dose than another COVID-19 vaccine called BNT162b2. The government in Japan approved this new vaccine in November 2023. The scientists did a lot of research to make sure the vaccine was good for people to use.
