A vision for global eDNA-based monitoring in a changing world. (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38754422/)
These scientists wanted to find a better way to keep track of all the different plants and animals in the world. They used a special type of DNA called environmental DNA (eDNA) to do this. They think that by collecting and studying this eDNA from different places around the world, they can learn more about the plants and animals that live there. This could help us protect and take care of the different species on Earth.
