These scientists interviewed five people who didn't originally plan to study the immune system but ended up loving it. They wanted to understand how these people became interested in immunology. The scientists asked them questions to learn about their experiences and what made them curious about the immune system. By doing this, the scientists hoped to uncover how different interests can lead to a passion for studying how our bodies fight off diseases.
